‘Natural Bodybuilding the Sci-Mentor way’
It takes great dedication to become a bodybuilder. It is important you get your nutritional intake right with plenty of rest/recuperation. Less is more so try to avoid over training. The body’s optimum anabolic window is 45 minutes of strength work followed by a good nutritional shake 3-5 times a week. Train longer than this and you could end up using muscle as an energy source, not ideal as you are trying to gain muscle.
As a natural bodybuilder you need to consume food at the right time to aid recovery and growth. It is important you consume breakfast, pre and post training nutrition. Don’t miss these meals if at all possible. You can absorb twice as much protein for breakfast and post training. Both these anabolic windows are great for getting in high levels of protein. Typically the average person can absorb 30g of protein every 2 hours. The absorption rate is doubled at breakfast and post workout.
An example breakfast would look something like this for a 200lb person.
Breakfast
- 80g of uncooked porridge oats or 72g of Sci-Mentor Protein Brek
- 1 Scoop/40g of Sci-Mentor Whey Excel or Premium Whey Pro
- 2 x Sci-Mentor CLA
Post Workout
- Sci-Mentor Twister 60g serving
Alternatively
- Sci-Mentor fast acting Whey Isolate 60g
- A good source of simple and complex carbohydrates. You could use Sci-Mentor’s Electade or VM20 formula, mixing it with your Isolate tastes great.
If you want to take your diet to a more advanced level then you can add these complementary products.
- Sci-Mentor Tribulus or Test X (May increase natural testosterone levels)
- Sci-Mentor ZMA (May increase natural testosterone levels)
- Sci-Mentor HMB (Could aid recovery)
- Sci-Mentor L-Carnitine (May help with the production of energy, using fat as a preferred source)
We all like a simple hassle free life that’s why after several years of development we introduced Twister to our range. Twister is an all-in-one marvel that takes all the guess work out of supplementation. It can be used as a pre and post workout drink or as a meal replacement. It contains all the ingredients you need for optimum growth and recovery.
Try and break your meals into smaller ones and consume 5-7 a day. This speeds up your metabolism helping to develop a leaner more defined look. If you are bulking up then up your calories using good carbohydrate sources with a low glycemic index (GI). Better still use the Sci-Mentor Mass Gainer complex for excellent results.

Good fat sources are nuts, avocados and olive oil.
Note: some of the above supplements may be banned in certain natural bodybuilding federations. Please make sure you check before taking any of the Sci-Mentor range.
